Reckless: Williams seems to be fighting with dull weapons in Singapore

(cafetheology.org) – The roller coaster at Williams continues: time the FW40 spreads worries, but goes off like a rocket, sometimes everything seems to be right and you go afterwards – as during the trainingsauftakt to the Grand Prix of Singapore. Then Felipe Massa and team colleague Lance Stroll just took the places 15 and 16. Why? You know that in the Williams garage synonymous not quite. Expectations for the rest of the weekend are therefore mauled. "We know that this is not an easy route for us," says Massa. "It was difficult for the team to be on Friday, so the balance is not the problem, the problem is only the lap times, and we're a little too slow compared to the others." Massa's best time stopped at 1: 43.836 minutes. That makes him only four hundredths of a second slower than the Jolyon Palmer's Renault, but it's already two tenths on Toro Rosso. The next Force India is about eight tenths away. "This is what we have expected so far and honestly, qualifying could become a problem," admits Massa. "I hope that some things will happen in the race, and if we can get points on Sunday, that would be all right." Even more difficult was the teenager Stroll. For the first time on the road course in the Far East, he lost a lot of stretching time already in the first training because of a gearbox damage. In the second session, the virtual safety car came into his way on his fastest lap. He finished half a second behind Massa. "It was not exactly the happiest day," he says. "But I enjoyed the circuit, it's fun to drive here, although it's a bit bumpy and difficult to ride, I knew the track was tight and engulfed and prepared for it, one of the most physically and mentally challenging "" I think we can get more out of the car, "he said." I think we can get more from the car in the middle of the game, if we can find two or three tenths we already make a big difference. "
