Vmware: Fusion 10 optimized for MacOS High Sierra and Metal

The software company Vmware has presented version 10 of its virtualization software Vmware Fusion and Vmware Fusion Pro. The program has been adapted for the latest iteration of Apple's own operating system MacOS High Sierra and is to be able to use current versions of Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 with Case Creators Update as a virtual machine. There are also improvements to the graphical user interface and network options. Vmware Fusion and its pro variant are programs for Apple devices to virtualize other operating systems.

A major innovation for Vmware is the integration of the Metal Graphics engine, used by Macs, Macbooks, and iOS devices. In High Sierra, this graphics interface was only updated on Metal 2. This is intended to display graphically demanding animations, for example in an emulated Windows 10, more fluidly. The new software also supports the virtualization of UEFI, Trusted Platform Modules and NVMe storage devices.
Users in Vmware Fusion 10 and Fusion 10 Pro have the option to create new Vms with modified installation wizards. The GUI has been adapted for the sake of clarity and clarity.
Better integration of Vsphere
In VMware Fusion Pro, it is now easier to get access to Vmware Vsphere capabilities. A remote host can be dragged down, booted, or tested in the maintenance mode directly from the program. Fusion 10 supports the Vsphere Server appliance and can directly import this preconfigured virtual machine with Linux operating system.

For developers, new features could be important in virtualized networks. Fusion 10 can simulate packet loss, high latencies, and limited bandwidths. Software developers can thus test their programs in special situations. It is also possible to rename networks and configure rules for Network Address Translation (NAT).
Both Vmware Fusion 10 and Fusion 10 Pro will be available in October 2017. New licenses cost 80 or 160 US dollars. Owners of a full version of Fusion 8.5 can increase their license for 50 or 120 US dollars.
