Vladimir Putin warns of "global catastrophe"

Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 | World News

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned urgently of an escalation in the conflict over North Korea. "An intensification of military hysteria leads to nothing good. It could result in a global catastrophe," said Putin.

US President Donald Trump had promised South Korea on Tuesday pledges for large arms deliveries and said Washington and Seoul would "maximally increase the pressure on North Korea by using all the means at its disposal."

Kremlin chief Putin said that North Korea will not give up its nuclear program as long as it does not feel safe. "There is no other way than negotiating to solve the North Korean Atomproblems."

He described the US's demand for stricter punitive measures against North Korea as "pointless". Stronger sanctions would have no impact on the government in Pyongyang, but could instead significantly increase the suffering of the population, Putin said on the brink of the BRICS Summit in Xiamen, China.

North Korea relocates rocket to the west coast
Previously, the United States' ambassador to the United States, Nikki Haley, had announced the submission of a catalog of harder sentences after an emergency session of the UN Security Council in New York. The Resolutions draft was to be voted next Monday, she said. In view of the possibility of further rocket launches in North Korea, the greatest rapidity was offered.

North Korea, meanwhile, was unaffected by the sharp tones of Washington. The communist regime is preparing a new rocket test.

According to the South Korean newspaper "Asia Business Daily", North Korea is moving an intercontinental rocket (ICBM) to its west coast. As reported by the CIA, the alleged bullet was set on Monday. The transport took place at night, in order to allow as much secrecy as possible, according to an insider. North Korea has shooting ramps on its west coast. The South Korean Ministry of Defense did not confirm the information.
