About one and a half years ago the music recognition app Shazam of the advertising world opened – and at the latest with the opening of an office in Berlin at the end of June also included here as a whole. The company is now bringing its "Brand Takeover" tool to Germany, where advertisers can take over the Shazam screen on a per-day basis. The German start-up customer is one that is not necessarily immediately on the screen: the heating engineer Viessmann.

The family-run company from Allendorf in Hesse is taking over the Shazam app in Germany as part of its 100th anniversary for just three days. From 25 to 27 August, the traditional manufacturer of heating, industrial and cooling systems is present throughout the app , That is from the home screen through the Listening screen to the song recognized by Shazam. According to Marketing Manager Florian Resatsch, Viessmann is currently developing "with giant steps to the digital technology company", hoping to reach three million user contacts in the three days.

The German market is a "lag" in the "Brand Takeover". Already in July, the US company had launched its new advertising feature in seven markets, including in Austria, where McDonald's carried out a day-to-day takeover maneuver. Other customers on a global scale have been Coca-Cola, Apple, HBO and Netflix. The feature is now available on iOS and Android devices.
