(cafetheology.org) – Danilo Petrucci (Pramac-Ducati) secured the best time at the home Grand Prix in Misano on Friday, relegating Yamaha rival Maverick Vinales to the second place. Petrucci rode the Italian course with the Aero panel in 1: 33.231 minutes and was thus only five thousandths faster than Vinales. World Cup leader Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati, +0.063 seconds) finished third. Honda had the ranks four and five for themselves. The bulk of the training session in the afternoon had dominated MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez, who after his best time in the morning, but then again prepared to top the second free practice. But a few minutes before the Spaniard, the front and rear of the medium tire, lost control of his Honda and slipped over the front wheel into the gravel bed. After that he could not improve on the second bike. For Marquez, the fifth place finished with 0.244 seconds behind. The race space of the Honda driver, however, looked strong. Together with team colleague Dani Pedrosa, the world champion was consistently fast on the road with the hard behind. Pedrosa was able to fast-run fast lap times even in the final shootout. He finished the day in fourth place with a time of 1: 33.346 minutes.Enger fight: Honda and Ducati with similar PaceZwar had to give the Honda Duo on a fast lap the Ducatis beaten. But the distance was not great. In the Renntrimm both manufacturers showed a similarly strong Pace. Both in qualifying and in the race is a close fight. Yamaha driver Vinales was able to fight for the top group on Friday, but in the Longrun on harder tires a few tenths of a second later. In the end, the field was extremely close together at the end of the second session. Up to place 15 the pilots did not separate a second. Cal Crutchlow of LCR-Honda had six seventh-tenths of a second behind. A highspeed fall was not the last thing the Brit could do. Michele Pirro, wild card driver for Ducati, and factory spotting Jorge Lorenzo finished Friday in Misano on positions eight and nine. Andrea Iannone (Suzuki, 9th) made the leap with Tito Rabat (Marc VDS Honda, 10th) in the top 10. Aleix Espargaro was ranked eleven with a new Aero panel best Aprilia driver. Team colleague Sam Lowes collapsed as in the morning and landed in the penultimate position. The training for Alex Rins (Suzuki) ended with a similar crash, finishing the race with 1,821 seconds behind. Jonas's follow-up on Friday in Misano is just 17th. The Tech-3 Yamaha team also has a lot of work to do. Johann Zarco did not get past 13th. It was even worse for Jonas Folger, who was hardly able to drive because his Yamaha was always screwed around. Both the brake and the fork were worked, which took a lot of time. The German stayed on position 17 and had a good one second to the best time.

Folgers Teamchef Herve Poncharal, however, appealed to the 'Eurosport' microphone: "Jonas feels good, the first training was difficult because it was not completely dry, there were many crashes, Johann also had a slow crash "It was a good thing for KTM as well: Pol Espargaro was 19th, Bradley Smith 21st but only 1.2 or 1.6 seconds from the top. At the end of the second free practice, the MotoGP pilots simulated the modified flag-to-flag mode again. He could celebrate his racing champions this weekend. Because according to weather forecast the weather in San Marino will remain unstable.
