July figures – USA: industrial orders are falling sharply in July News

Friday, August 25th, 2017 | Economy

The orders for long-lived goods with at least three-year shelf life – from TV to the plane – were down 6.8 percent on the previous month, according to the Commerce Department on Friday in Washington. This is the biggest decline since April 2014. Economists surveyed by Reuters had only expected a decline of 6.0 percent.
In June, there was still a turnover of 6.4 percent. The aircraft builders, Boeing, were responsible for the ups and downs of the figures. He reported on his website that only 22 aircraft orders were received in July. In June it was still 184.
