(cafetheology.org) – The British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin will become the new title sponsor of the Red Bull team. According to information from 'cafetheology.org', the official team name will be the 2019 and 2015 "Aston Martin Red Bull Racing" for the title sponsorship by Infiniti in the years 2014 and 2015. However, Aston Martin does not intend to actually drive engines to the racing team "If it is speculated whether we are deepening our relationship with Red Bull, the answer is a clear yes," explains Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer, 'cafetheology.org'. And Red Bull team boss Christian Horner remains nebuls, but leaves room for interpretation when he says "you can speculate as much as you want, but I will not confirm anything." The master plan looks as follows: 2018 Red Bull will continue with Renault engines running under the name TAG Heuer. "There is a contract," Horner confirms to Sky Sports F1. According to information from 'cafetheology.org', Renault Red Bull has already announced its intention to end the cooperation at the end of 2018. "Everything will be open after 2018," says Horner. "As an option, only manufacturers of engines that already exist can be considered." This narrows the possibilities strongly, because Mercedes and Ferrari have rejected Red Bull in the past. If only Honda, the new engine partner of Red Bulls B-Team Toro Rosso, brig.Honda engine with namesponsor Aston Martin conceivable. And then if Honda engines in the Red Bull stern stuck, these could officially run under the name Aston Martin. Honda and Aston Martin do not compete on the automotive market as direct competitors, even if Honda has a super sports car with the NSX in the program. When 2021 a new engine regulation takes effect, many variants are conceivable. Theoretically, Aston Martin could develop its own powertrain, with Aston Martin know-how and an independent engine manufacturer such as Cosworth or Ilmor as a partner. "We are seriously interested," says Palmer about a "real" Formula One entry 2021. "There is a board decision to explore." Aston Martin was a participant in the previous FIA motorsmeetings, with the future drive format of the Formula 1 is discussed. In Singapore, Palmer also meets with FIA technician Charlie Whiting to deepen the talks. This shows how serious it is Aston Martin with the Formula 1, even if Palmer clarifies that the long-distance World Championship WEC is still in the focus of the motor sport program stand.Adrian Newey builds sports car for Aston Martin "There will be news in the next weeks. "Christian HornerAston Martin has been a sponsor of the Red Bull team since 2016. Teamchef Horner says, "We have a great relationship with Aston and we are developing the Valkyrie super sports car for them. They do great work, they have a great product, and they have a lot of great things in the pipeline." However, he does not want to confirm a detailed cooperation: "There will be news in the next few weeks." On the other hand, there seems to be a future collaboration between Red Bull and Porsche from 2021 onwards. Horner confirms to Sky Sports F1: "It was speculated that a German manufacturer could come, which will not happen." Despite the traditionally close ties between the Volkswagen Group, Porsche, and the brand Red Bull.
