Eurozone – retail sales decline News

According to the Statistics Office Eurostat on Tuesday, a decrease of 0.3 percent was recorded in July of the previous month. This is the first decline this year. Analysts had expected this. A particularly strong damper was registered at petrol stations.
The increase in total retail sales in the previous month was also revised upwards from originally estimated 0.5 percent to 0.6 percent. Compared to the previous month, sales in July rose by 2.6 percent. This is also in line with analysts' expectations.
