Double decker crashed at air show – two dead

Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 | World News

A historical double-decker aircraft crashed during an air show near Moscow. Two people on board Antonow An-2 were killed, as Russian agencies reported.

The authorities proceeded from a pilot error. In a video clip on the Internet, the propeller engine flew low-level figures and suddenly crashed on the airfield in front of the spectators' eyes. The rubble went up in flames.

On board the aircraft were a pilot and a photographer, as media reported. Both succumbed to their injuries shortly after the crash. Nobody had been harmed on the ground, they said.

The occasion for the air show was the 70th anniversary of the An-2. The spectacle was canceled after the accident.
